Ashland is welcoming a new city administrator– mayor John Stromberg officialy appointed Dave Kanner as the new city administrator.
At a meeting late last night, the Ashland city council unanimously agreed.
This morning, NBC 5 looked into the past of one of the town’s now new top official.
According to our NBC affiliate, KTVZ in Bend: six months ago– Dave Kanner was fired as the Deschutes county administrator.
Reports say it was due to a split vote of county commissioners… and an all around disagreement.
Kanner will officially start his new job next monday. He will succeed former city administrator Martha Bennett.
