Mayville, Wis. — (WTMJ) An elderly Wisconsin man won’t be charged after smashing into nearly a dozen vehicles in a grocery store parking lot.
Surveillance video from the Piggly Wiggly grocery store parking lot in Mayville shows what appeared to resemble a demolition derby Friday.
Police Chief Christopher MacNeill said the 92-year-old man told officers he became confused and panicked after hitting the gas pedal.
“It could have been a heck of a lot worse,” MacNeill said. “We were very, very fortunate that there was no pedestrians walking out with their groceries.”
