Asante creates over 800 new jobs in Josephine County, boosting economy

Grants Pass, Ore. — The economy is picking up in Josephine County.

From December 2013 to December 2014 the county added 880 jobs, which resulted in a drop in the unemployment from 10.1% to 9.3%.

A big reason why, Asantes expansion of the newly constructed outpatient health center.

Roy Vinyard, President & CEO, Asante, “in the last couple of years we’ve done a lot of recruitment, we’ve made a lot of changes in construction, the largest of which is a 90,000 square feet center for outpatient health.”

While Asante had a huge hand in the number of health care jobs added, the manufacturing sector added the most jobs.
