Clackamas County, Ore.– Bruce Lee Steward, 34, called 911 to report a stabbing and an armed suspect on scene. Clackamas County Deputies responded to the call but did not find any stabbing victim. What they found was Stewart armed with a hatchet.
Deputies report Stewart refused to take their commands to disarm and insteadcharged at them with the hatchet.
Clackamas County Deputies then shot and killed Stewart. The deputies involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
