4th of July Noise Send Pets Running

Pooches and the 4th of July don’t seem to mix well.

The Jackson County Humane Society says this is the busiest time of the year in which they receive stray or lost dogs, because they run away from all the fireworks commotion.

“We had 10 dogs and 5 of them are in peoples’ homes waiting to be picked up by their owner.”

Officials from the Humane Society say its necessary to make sure your dogs have their name tags and license.

This way if you do lose a dog its not only easier to track the owner down, but there will be no charge.

Where as if you don’t have tags on your pet its a 180 dollar charge to get them back.
