6 Arrested in Protest Over Logging Plans

Arrests are made, after over 50 protestors demonstrate inside the Oregon State Capitol Building in Salem.

Officials say 6 people were arrested, cited, and released yesterday, following a protest against an upcoming logging project.

Officials say the protestors attached themselves to each other, some even using bike locks.

Most demonstrators left before 5 PM.

The protest was sparked after a new management plan that calls for increased clear-cutting in the Elliott State Forest.
