ALL NEW: Budget Woes Could Shut Down Curry County Jail

Authorities in Curry County are concerned they may soon have to close the county jail.

The county is seeing budget cuts, similar to that of Josephine County, which released 39 inmates last week.

Sheriff John Bishop says that if the jail does close, it would cost the county millions of dollars to reopen it again in the future.

The county is looking at ways to keep the jail open. If funds are not met, the county could close the jail as early as June 2013.
