Armed Man in Sizzler Parking Lot

A day after a man accused of randomly pointing a loaded gun outside of a Grants Pass restaurant, the manager is speaking out.

On Friday at around 4 o’clock, Grants Pass Police Officers responded to man waiving a gun in the air, and randomly pointing at people.

When police arrived they ordered sizzlers to lock their doors.

The manager says he took all precautions

“I was watching to make sure that nobody would be coming in or out. I didn’t want any of my people getting hurt, but everything worked out okay. We actually never saw him. Then maybe five, ten minutes later they called up and said, ‘Okay we’ve apprehended him, you can go ahead and open your doors now.'”

Nobody was hurt .

51 year old Michael Henry Goodwin remains behind bars on 20-thousand dollars bail.

Police say the gun he had was reportedly stolen from the Sheriff’s Department earlier this year.
