Ashland Co-op Strikes a Deal

The Ashland Food Co-op has reached an agreement with the National Labor Relations Board.

The board agreed to a settlement of an unfair labor practice charge– this between the management staff of the Co-op, and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

The federal agency signed off on the settlement Friday, after an unfair labor practice charge was filed in November.

The Co-op will now begin a 60-day “posting period”– employees will then vote on whether to unionize the store.
