Ashland’s Businesses See Best Holiday Season in Years

While the holiday shopping rush may be over local business are now cashing in on their holiday sales.

The Ashland Chamber of Commerce says local shops saw one of the best shopping seasons in years.

Lou Ann David, the owner of ‘Flowertyme in the Plaza’ says her numbers are back to pre-recession days.

“When the economy fell apart in 2008, that’s when we noticed people were starting to struggle. And it’s been building up ever since then and so this is a normal volume of sales for the Christmas season.”

David says the community has really stepped up when it comes to shopping locally.

and that post holiday sales have continued to draw in customers.
