Authorities Still Searching for Body of Man Who Jumped From Bridge

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is looking for the body of a man who they say jumped off the Deb Potts Memorial Bridge.

The incident happened around 10:30pm Friday.

Today search and rescue crews combed through the area.

Left behind were the man’s mountain bike, blue jeans, and long sleeved green shirt, but no trace of the man’s body.

“Josephine County Search and Rescue were out there and didn’t find anything yesterday evening, so we have marine divers as well to make sure there was nobody in the water.”

Police also say no ID was left behind. At this time they are not sure what their next step will be in finding the man. The Department of Public Safety asks if you have any information to contact them at 541-450-6260.
