Back to Work For Government Employees

PlayingFrisbeeis just one of the ways Anthony Olegario has been keeping busy. He’s a fisheries biologist for the U.S. Forest Service and has beenout of work since the federalgovernmentshutdown October first.

“I couldn’t believe it it was difficult to believe.”

But Olegario will head back to work Thursday. President Obama signed Wednesday’s debt ceiling agreement passed by both senate and house.

“It makes me feel happy that all the employees are going to get to back to work.”

Olegario says some things about having a couple weeks off are nice,but financially it was getting iffy.

“I’m lucky that I’m single I’ve got a buffer I’ve just been watching what I spend during this time.

Olegario says he’s looking forward to catching up at workbut says he can’t help but think this could happen again.

“It just makes me think if this happens again i’ll just be more prepared.”

Olegario was part of a group of a hundred forestry employees that were furloughed these past two weeks.
