Bee Keeping Advocates Meet at South Medford High

Wild Bee International organized the Bee Alive conference today. According to scientists, bees contribute to the growth of a lot of our food.

The conference held at South Medford High brought together a hundred bee keeping advocates and was hosted by one of America’s most well know bee keepers and scientists Randy Oliver.

He talked to people about bee keeping essentials and the urgency to protect the pollinators.

“Our food is related to thepollinators and there’s a lot of concern over our pollinatorsdisappearing Its important to keep abreast on the current information.”

“We wouldn’t be able to live if we didn’t have pollinators.”

David Curtis, director of the conference, says Oliver has studied bees for the past 20 years and it’s important for the community to know about bee keeping and what bees provide for us.
