Police say the homemade bomb found in a Medford alley last week could have caused serious injury.
A passerby spotted the bomb off Hamilton between 12th and 13th streets Friday afternoon.
Police say if it *had* exploded, the blast would have been devastating.
Unlike other homemade bombs, authorities say this one was made of metal, making it more dangerous.
