Britt Clarifies Alcohol Policy

The Britt Festival made a big announcement today stating that they will be banning concert goers from bringing in alcohol to four of the 40 concerts this season.

The four concerts include the following.

1. An Evening with Primus – June 11th

2. Bush – June 22nd

3. An Evening with The Avett Brothers – August 24th

4. Slightly Stoopid – September 6th

Executive Director of The Britt Festival Donna Briggs said in order to keep the Britt enjoyable for everyone they had to look at managing alcohol.

Officials say they chose the four concerts because of local and national experiences with over consumption of alcohol.

Concert goers can still purchase wine and beer inside the venue and bring in alcohol for 36 of the 40 concerts this season.

Tickets go on sale for the general public starting Thursday May 17th.
