The investigation is ongoing, after officials say a man drowned in the Umpqua river over the weekend.
Reports say a 34 year old California man was swimming in the river Sunday afternoon, when he went underwater, and didn’t resurface.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office, his body was found 50 feet downstream.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
