After two years of planning and $3.5 million, Sshepherd of the Valley Catholic Church opened its doors to their brand new church in Central Point Sunday.
About a thousand people took part in the opening celebration.
In the past, Sunday mass took place inside a fruit stand.
The churchkept a local emphasis on building the new structure.
The architect, contractor, and workers were from the Rogue Valley somethingthechurchsays givesthem local flare.
