Crater High School Remains Closed

Crater High School in Central Point remained closed Thursday after a broken water main over the weekend caused extensive flood damage and we learned today that classes will not reconvene until next Tuesday, February 19th.

Officials say a main water line from the school, which was built in 1954, burst sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, causing extensive water damage.

School officials say repairs to the flooring to prevent mold will take weeks to finish.
