Curry County Residents Asked To Approve Tax Levy

Curry county residents are facing a property tax increase in Mayto help save the county’s public services.

The five year public safety levy would raise nearly4.5 million dollars for the safety budget.

The levy would cost residents ofGold Beach, Brookings, and Port Orford $1.84 cents per $1,000 dollars in assessed value. If the levy does not pass, most all public services, law enforcement, and the jail will be lost due to the current budget crisis.
