Dead Fish Found Floating In Ashland Waterway

There are no answers as of yet to explain dead fish floating in an Ashland waterway.

The fish were found in Ashland Creek just downstream from the Ashland Wastewater Treatment Plant, and officials say that any number of things could have caused the mass death of the fish.

Ashland Public Works Director Mike Faught said “The cause is unknown. It’s unknown weather or not this is from our wastewater treatment plant or if somebody may have dumped something in the creek, at this point.”

The city of Ashland is working with OSP, DEQ, and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to discover the cause.
