A Talent man — accused of driving the wrong way on I-5 — is dead and Oregon State Police are investigating the crash.
It happened late Friday night near milepost 11.
Police say 41-year-old Derek Massey, a Talent resident driving a Pontiac Vibe was headed Northbound in the Southbound lanes.
According to authorities he collided head-on with a California man in a Ford Expedition, who had non-life threatening injuries.
Massey was pronounced dead on scene. It’s unknown if intoxicants played a role.
