FBI Releases Oregon Violent Crime Report

TheFBI has released their crime stats for Oregon and Washington.

According to the report, from 2011 to 2012 the number of violent crime cases *increased* in Medford, Central Point and Ashland.

In medford, violent crime went up, from 387 cases in 2011 to 425 in 2012.

In Central Pointviolent crimes rose from19 to 26 and in Ashland,violent crime went up from 26to 35.

Eagle Point saw four more cases in 2012 and Klamath Falls’ violent crimes went down by one.

Statewide– the rate of violent crime decreased while nationally, the violent crime rate went up and property crimes dropped for a 10th year in a row in the US.
