A new federal grant will help aid domestic violence victims through the criminal justice system.
$160,000 was awarded to Jackson county. It will pay for a full-time advocate to work with victims of domestic violence while their case is processed.
The two-year grant comes from the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant program.
