Four New Deputies In Klamath County

There will soon be a few more deputies on patrol in Klamath County.

Four new deputies were sworn in by Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah Saturday morning.

The Sheriff says restoring patrols is a high priority…

“Because we need deputies on the street. We need to protect our members of this community, and that was one of the cornerstones that I ran on, and one of the reasons they talked me into doing this.”

The deputies sworn in include Jesse Ginestar, Ruben Jenkins, Joe Cardona, and Sondra Hamilton.

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.” Says Deputy Hamilton. “And I finally have been given the opportunity to do so, and I’m excited for the future of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.”

Sheriff Skrah notes that he hopes to restore 24 hour patrols within 6 or 7 months…

“This community cannot continue the road it was going down. It stopped, now we’re turning it around.”

The new hires will boost patrols from 12 to 16 deputies.
