Grand Jury Indicts Two Former Carson Helicopter Employees for Fraud, Uncovering the Facts Behind the Iron 44 Crash

A federal investigation into one of the deadliest aviation accidents in firefighting history brings Carson Helicopters once again under fire.

It’s been almost four and a half years since that August 5, 2008 crash that killed nine people. The helicopter went down in Northern California while crews were battling the Iron 44 Complex Fire. NBC5’s Laura Cavanaugh explains.
