Grants Pass Resident Celebrates 104th Birthday

When Olive Watson was born, Howard Taft was just beginning his term as United States President.

Friday the Grants Pass resident celebrated her 104th birthday. Watson was born in Oklahoma, lived for a time in California, but spent the majority of years here in Oregon.

She says a good diet and attitude have lead to a long life and has helped her remain sharp.

Tell me what it’s like to turn 104, how do you feel “About the same as I did yesterday when I was one hundred and three. I always thank God first thing in the morning that I’m still here.”

Olive went out for a special early birthday dinner. She says it’s just all part of another good day in her life.
