High Speed Chase

Our cameras were there as a shower of sparks rained from the side of this brown chevy s-10.

The fast moving car was driven by 48 year old Edward Allen clement.

The chase between police and clement started in Medford and ended up 80 miles south in California.

Police even spiked the road in order to get clement to stop

but he just kept on going.

Officers from Medford, Oregon state police, ashland, the California highway patrol and Weed all took turns following behind the truck until he finally stopped.

Police reports show the man brandished a knife keeping police and a k-9 at bay for two hours.

Clement surrendered to police where he was handcuffed and taken into custody.

We checked into his background and found a list of charges.

In 2011, clement was accused of running from police.

In april of last year, he was arrested for possession of meth.

In this mug shot taken in September of last year, he’s pictured with a scratched up and bloody face.

At that time, he was charged with attempt to allude police in a vehicle, endangering and resisting arrest.

And in December of that year, he was arrested again, for reckless driving, a probation violation and failing to register as a sex offender.

Now, Clement is in the Siskiyou County jail charged with evading police, displaying a knife to police, driving without a licence, and obstructing an officer.

He’s held on $14,000 bail.
