Our ‘Horse of the Month’ for July is a 3 year old Arabian / quarter horse cross that’s truly precious.
Meet ‘Precious’ – a young woman who’s waiting for an adoptive home.
“She’s three years old.” Notes Dawn Keen of the Klamath Animal Shelter’s Large Animal Division. “She’s the kind of horse, no matter what you’re doing, she’s up with you. She wants to know, very curious.”
Keen adds that Precious came in with a herd of 19 other horses about a year and a half ago…
“She was a little thin, wasn’t to the point of being starved – and then we’ve had her ever since. She’s just a little ball of fire.”
If ‘Precious’ was a hollywood actress, she might be Lucille Ball…
“Kinda quirky, I’d call her…” Says Keen. “Because she wants to do everything. She’ll try anything, she’ll do anything for you.”
