Areoccurring phone scam is prompting warnings from officials this morning after reports say callers will ask for money to help the victim’s grandchildren, who have been jailed in a foreign country.
Authorities say the calls appear to be random, but they often target the elderly.
Officials want to remind residents to be careful when wiring money to people you don’t know.
