An elderly man died Wednesday morning following an accident involving an ATV.
Jackson County Sheriffs’ Deputies say a 70-year old man suffered fatal injuries after the mans own ATV rolled down a hill and pinned him underneath.
The man had left early Wednesday morning to work on his property in the 2300 block of Cobleigh Rd near Butte Falls. Several hours later he was found dead.
Deputies say it appeared the man had been closing a gate just downhill from where he had parked the ATV.
The name of the man has not been released pending notification of family members.
