Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge Employee Arrested for Embezzlement

A local accountant for Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge is accused of embezzlement, after police say at least $20,000 has been reported missing.

41 year old Stephanie Moore has been arraigned on 2 counts of aggravated first-degree theft and aggravated identity theft. She is believed to have stolen the money by forging at least 30 checks in the last year.

Police say they were made out to her boyfriend, 30 year old Richard McDonald, who was also an employee.

Officials say McDonald then cashed over $10,000 in forged checks at Walmart.

Both were taken into custody, but have since been released.
