MPD Says They’re Close to Naming Suspect in Murder Investigation

Medford Police says they are really close to naming a suspect in the case, but they are trying to track the person down.

Just after 8 last night police responded to this apartment complex on the 1900 block of Tablerock Road.

When they arrived they found 38-year-old Maria Rodriguez stabbed to death.

Multiple agencies worked through the night and today gathering and processing evidence.

Police did serve a search warrant at a home they believe is connected to the case today but they are still actively searching for the suspect.

“Certainly have some ideas and directions that we are heading, but we do not have a person in custody right now and we are still chasing this,” says Chief Tim George of the Medford Police Department.

Medford Police say they have wrapped up their investigation at the crime scene and are now actively investigating to find out who is responsible for this murder and where that person is.

While the suspect is still on the loose, Medford police officials say that they do not believe that the public is at risk.

We will continue to follow the latest in the investigation and bring you the latest details as they become available.
