New “Person Of Interest” In Missing Person Case

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department named a “person of interest” in the case of a missing woman Thursday night. Stephanie Anne Warner’s now been missing for nearly two months.

Investigators are naming 60 year-old Lennie Laverne Ames as the person of interest. He is the boyfriend of 43 year old Warner.

Warner disappeared on July fourth. Investigators say Ames was the last person to have contact with her.

Ames and his son both spoke to NBC 5 News on July 23rd about Ames’ missing girlfriend.

The sheriffs department says detectives seized evidence during recent searches of Ames’ home.

A camp site he recently occupied and a wooded area near the camp sight. Anyone with information on Warner’s disappearance is urged to contact the sheriff’s department at (541) 774-6800.
