The Oregon Liquor Control Commission has appointed a new interim executive director.
Current Deputy Director Merle Lindsey will take over as interim executive director immediately.
The decision comes just two days after the O.L.C.C.’S current executive director Steve Pharo’s announced his retirement.
In recent months, pharo has faced pressure and criticism from Governor John Kitzhaber, who requested that Pharo step down from his position with the O.L.C.C.
