Oregon Attorney General John Kroger, a former top lieutenant, as well as the Oregon Department of Justice are facing a lawsuit this morning.
Former Energy Department Interim Director Mark Long claims key documents were destroyed after an investigation into the Oregon Department of Energy.
The original criminal investigation began in August of 2010.
Shortly after the Energy Department hired a consultant to survey Oregon’s cadre of energy companies.
This morning, long is seeking $7.5 million in damages.
