Oregon Department Of Forestry Extends Comment Period on “Conservation Areas” Proposal

The comment period on the proposed forest “conservation area” rule has been extended.

The Oregon Department of Forestry has announced the comment period for the draft rule will now be open until 5 P.M. on April 19.

Under the draft rule proposal, O.D.F. would be able to classify forestlands as “high-value conservation areas” in an effort to better organize and define state-owned forests that are managed with a conservation emphasis.

You can email your comments on the proposal to [email protected].
