Paper Applications For Cover Oregon

Shirley Anderson says her health was on the line, so she didn’t waste her time when it came to applying for Cover Oregon.

“I have two per-existing health conditions so not having health care to me means not being able to buy medication or to see a specialist that Ive been refereed to.”

Anderson says she was aware of Cover Oregon’s website malfunction so she filled out a paper application.

“I was one of the first people to sign up i was anticipating that the affordable health care act would go through and right now pretty much everyone in my family qualifies for OHP.”

“The paper application has always been available the only difference is that the portal hasn’t been open yet so a lot of people don’t know that they could just use the option of submitting the paper application.”

Aracely Mesta works at La Clinica health care center in Phoenix she says the process is the same as if you’d apply online.

“We need their socials, their ID’s, as well as income information.”

Anderson says she got help in applying for the application at Oregon Action in Medford. She says otherwise her life would be at risk.

“If i didn’t have the affordable care act I would be kind of making it through life without medicating myself for my health conditions which would cause them to slowly become wore eventually I would wind up having to do kidney dialysis.”
