Phoenix Man Takes Over $12,000 From His Mom, Faces First Degree Forgery Charges

A Phoenix man has plead not guilty to first degree forgery, among other serious charges, after police say he stole thousands of dollars from his mom.

Police say Dan Waggoner forged checks in his mother’s name, and transferred the money into a friend’s account.

In the last year, police say he took up to $12,000.

Waggoner’s Mother’s bank alerted police of the transfers, police then made the connection, and arrested the man.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for December 24th.
