It’s back to the drawing board for MURA after losing the full confidence of some Medford’s downtown property and business owners. The proposal was to be passed with no more than a 33% disapproval rate. 36% of those in the public meeting said no. Some think it’s confusion on behalf of those property owners but there was concern over cost. One owner cited in news article complained about a steep administrative cost to maintain the project for three years. The city of Medford has granted approval to have MURA try again. Public meetings will be announced.
