Rogue Disposal holds household hazardous waste event

White City, Ore. — Starting today, Rogue Disposal and Recycling will be holding a household hazardous waste event at the Rogue Transfer Station in White City.

Jackson County residents can dispose of hazardous waste materials for a cost of 5 dollars for the first cubic yard waste, which is enough to fill six 32-gallon trash cans, with the price increasing from there.

Some examples of acceptable items include household cleaning supplies, pesticides and batteries. But they say items such as oil-based and latex paint as well as fluorescent light bulbs will not be accepted.

The drop-off days are Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
