ARoseburg man is lucky to be alive today after police say he was attacked with an ax…by his own son.
73 year old Josiah Goldberg of Roseburg was sitting in a chair in his living room when he was brutally attacked.
His son, Hunter Goldberg came into the room and reportedly began hitting his father in the head.Josiah was able to wrestle the ax away from his sonand his wife called 911 as she rushed him to the hospital.
After about an hour of staking out the residence ad trying to contact Hunter, police say they saw movement and made entry into the home. Police say Hunter was taken into custody without incident and he is lodged in the Douglas County jail on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
