Rick Santorum has dropped out of the GOP race for President, making the announcement Tuesday. This move strengthens Mitt Romney’s chances of becoming the party’s nominee.
Santorum says his daughter Bella’s illness forced him and his wife to question the strain on their family.
As for President Obama he is already focusing his campaign on Romney. In the latest national poll, President Obama leads Romney by 7 points: 51 to 44.
