Search Warrants Executed in David Grubbs Murder Investigation

Peter Thornily’s right.

70 law enforcement personnel from around the region, along with a handful of FBI agents, served 3 search warrants today. One of them at 225 Rapp Road in Talent, the home of Lenny and Sally Parrish.

Lenny Parrish told NBC-5 he didn’t know why his property was being searched, but Ashland Police Chief Terry Holderness said it’s part of the David Grubbs murder investigation.

Grubbs was stabbed to death in Ashland with a large knife or machete nearly a year ago.

Holderness did not say what crews were searching for,

but divers did spend hours in the Parrish pond, and search and rescue crews, alongside dogs were using metal detectors. Possibly searching for the murder weapon that has long eluded police.

NBC-5 does know that Grubbs visited the area often.

His best friend used to live in these apartments across the street from the Parrish home.

To Thornily’s knowledge, the Parrishes don’t know Grubbs, but he did say that Lenny and Sally do have grandkids in their 20’s – about Grubbs’ age.
