Today is the official start of spring break here in Medford and law enforcement is increasing patrols to keep Oregon students safe.
With kids out of school, drivers are warned to be cautious, slow down, and expect kids to be playing, walking or riding around the streets.
Officials also warn of increased traffic on Oregon’s roadways in the next two weeks including an increase in young, distractable drivers.
They are reminding drivers to buckle up, drive defensively, and stay off their cell phones.
