Students at Southern Oregon University can now use their smartphones to stay informed on campus.
S.O.U.recently introduced a new, free smartphone application that provides students access to the library, campus events and news as well as other services.
The app is free and nearly 800 people downloaded it the first week it was launched.
If the application is a success, school officials say they will look into further developing it offering even more services.
