The Talent city council has put off a decision on whether to dismiss Councilman E.J. McManus– until a full legal review of the move can be completed.
The council voted, 3-2, Wednesday night to authorize a review. This comes after community members gathered to give their opinion on whether McManus should continue to serve on the council.
In November, McManus was arrested and jailed for driving with a suspended license and violating his probation. He wasalso arrested on a DUI charge in Ashland in 2004.
