Too Early To Tell What Reform Will Come

U.S. Representative, Greg Walden (R-Ore) held a town hall meeting where concerned Oregonians asked what he thinks about current immigration laws. ” It’s an issue that’s needed to be dealt with for a long time.”

Rep. Walden says there is a need in agriculture areas like Southern Oregon for workers. He says there needs to be a better system that can allow people to come to the US and work legally for both employers and employees.

But there was concern as people start to hear about proposals coming for the White House, and bipartisan efforts.

“To millions of people who have broken the law to get here, there is a proper avenue to citizenship, and basically by rewarding people who have broken the law, you’re insulting the person who’s trying to do it correctly.” -Steve Richie

“I never supported that and well have to wait and see what’s proposed.” -Greg Walden
