A new report out by the Medford Parks and Recreation Department shows just how much of an economic impact U.S. Cellular Community Park has on the area.
The report estimates between last year’s 45 sporting and special events, the park generated an estimated eight point eight million dollars.
Local businesses say their advertisements in the park have really helped boost business.
“Every year it seems like we are getting busier and busier, even during the slow season we are steady. It brings some big revenues not just to our business but to the community and the whole Rogue Valley.”
The report says since the park opened in 2008 the facility has produced over 37 million dollars into the community.
