Anew report just released is revealing violent crime is on the rise in Ashland.
The annual police report found there were 35 reports of violent crime last year, compared to 25 reportsin 2011.
Crimes in that category are defined as homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
More details will be released in a city council meeting Tuesday night.
