Snoop Dogg is making the most of his first few days in Paris for the 2024 Summer Games and will be among the torchbearers carrying the Olympic flame in the final stretch before the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Games.

Snoop Dogg, 52, will carry the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis, a northern Paris suburb that is home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium, the town’s mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, said on social media platform X.

“Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame,” Hanotin wrote.

Snoop confirmed the news on his Instagram account, writing, “U gots to do it!!”. Hopefully he has no plans to “drop it like it’s hot’ while carrying the torch.

Snoop Dogg will be a special correspondent for NBC and Peacock during the Olympics. He will attend games, visit with athletes and their friends and families while also exploring city landmarks. His reports will air on the primetime show with Mike Tirico during the primetime show on NBC and Peacock.

Snoop wasted no time after touching down in Paris, having lunch with the U.S. men’s and women’s rugby teams. The U.S. men will be the first Americans to compete in Paris when they kick off against host nation France at 10:30 a.m. ET.
